choo choo!
Alexander got this train last year for Christmas but we hid since he had so many toys already and this was a little kore advanced. He saw it today when we were in his closet so I had to open it open. This picture is about 5 min after I got everything working. Chocolate, George and Spot are in their VIP spots and he's already figured out how to work the remote.
Geniosity in action.

Great friends & great (Cal) football
Hung out with Mommy and Daddy's college friends and respective families (Mommy's sorority sisters) this past football Saturday! Liz and Todd have Jared (not pictured), Natalie (not pictured), Gabrielle & Drew. Tasha and Isti have Maté & Maya! They had a wonderful time playing at the park while we watched and cheered on Jared's soccer game and in the incredible playroom at the house. To complete the wonderful day, Cal beat Colorado! GO BEARS!!
did you see the John Deeres?!
Alexito was beside himself when we arrived at Steinbeck Vineyards and he saw the various John Deere vehicles used at the family owned winery. inside we tasted wine from Steinbeck Vineyard and port from Paso Port (the same winemaker makes them both). Meanwhile, Alexito made sure the tractor driver knew where he/she was going and even helped him/ her along!

look at me! I'm cooking!
alexander helped mommy cook dinner for reals for the first time tonight. he stirred the pot of ravioli like someone's who's been doing it for 20 years! (ok, maybe I exaggerate a tad.) seriously though, for being only 20 months old, he was pretty amazing. he stirred the pot all by himself and was careful not to burn himself, spill or break up the pasta. perhaps we have a chef in the making!
beach adventure
Alexander, Rebecca and mommies had a beach adventure yesterday at Laguna Beach. It only took us a few hours to get out of the house and get to the beach, but we did it!! We ate lunch, saw lots of birds (even a helicopter that Alexander was pointing at), and played in the sand. We had a wonderful adventure together and look forward to many more.
