Family Day was, once again, a hit! Making headbands, prints, slime, and hanging out with good friends.
What a fantastic day we had at the beach with Rebecca and Abuelita joining us for a special summer outing. So fortunate to be able to enjoy the waves, tide pools, sand and sun together.
looking for the fish and crabs!
cuzzy love!

this past weekend we spent having fun with our family. Grandma and Grandpa had all our family over to their house for a Stup-Egg-dous Celebration and Easter egg hunt! the kids also had fun chasing bubbles, decorating eggs and watching Uncle Chris's egg-bot decorate eggs. See how tired Alex and Rebecca were after such a fun afternoon! The following day, we went to Temecula to have lunch together at Masia de Yabar and then go on a wine tour of Miramonte Winery, courtesy of Tia Lisett and Tio Nick. See how much fun Alexander had playing with Nicky at Masia!
This past Saturday, Abuelita and Tia Suzi hosted a fabulous tea party to shower Olive (and mommy) with love and support. Mommy had such a wonderful time with family and friends at the Scarlett Room in Pasadena. We ate the most delicious scones and tea sandwiches and drank some flavorful teas. Mommy can't wait to go with Daddy and Alexander. Abuelita surprised everyone with a real tea leaf reader too (she's the one with the fancy big hat)! We had such a wonderful and memorable time. Thank you for the personalized favors with the really good teas and cute teapot cookies. It was all so nicely done and such a special event. Thank you very much Abuelita and Tia Suzi and to all our guests for the presents.
This past week we enjoyed celebrating Valentine's Day throughout the entire week! Monday, daddy and Alexander made cute and fun heart animals to give to his secret valentine and teacher at preschool. Tuesday, mommy and Alexander made strawberry cake-pops, which daddy and mommy later decorated, to share with friends. Wednesday, Alex signed his V-day cards for school (with mommy & daddy's help). Mommy also received a special Valentine via "speedy delivery speedy delivery" (mail) from her favorite lil valentine. (Thank you preschool!) Thursday - Valentine's Day - was also daddy's first work day at the preschool! He had the best time with Alex and all the kids helping to make the Tunnel of Love. Alexander loved having daddy there all day, crawling through the tunnel and getting hugs. He also enjoyed his special V-day lunch from his secret Valentine and opening his V-day cards! Afterwards we had fun at the park with our Mom's Club V-Day party. Mommy surprised the boys and made reservations at a restaurant where Alexander behaved like a true gentlemen and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner together.
Today was the last time the kids got to visit/ ride Mystic because she'll soon be returning to her owners. Alexander had a wonderful time (as always) brushing her, riding her and feeding her grass. He got to ride her 3 times and even trotted! We'll sure miss Mystic and look forward to future opportunities to meet/ride other ponies/ horses.
Well, we're on our way home from our family vacation. We stopped by Casa de Frutas off route 152 and mommy definitely wants to check it out again once Olive comes and is old enough to enjoy the kiddie land with Alexander - it had a carousel and train there! Right now, it's nap time though. Next stop: In-n-out for lunch!
This morning we took a tour of Mission Dolores in San Francisco and went to mass at the Basilica next to the mission. We got to see the altar of the mission and the cemetery which had a big ol' redwood tree, plus an example of a home of the Ohlone Indian (which AAA said was actually a home for the okapi - because that's the word he heard)! Afterward, we visited downtown Sonoma and ate burgers, sandies, and hot dogs for lunch at Sonoma Cheese Factory. It was SOOO yummmy!! Once we were done, we headed over to Imagery Estates Winery where daddy got to taste the entire line of wines and ended up buying a petit syrah and a cab.
It was a wonderful day of activities. Here is a pic of Sonoma vineyards on our way out and the kids picking up Rebecca's toys after they bathed and got ready for bed.
